Ramlah Bint Abi Sufyan (Female) R.A Sahaba

Abu Sufyan ibn Harb could not conceive of anyone among the Quraysh whom would dare exam his specialist or go against his orders. He was as soon as everybody, the sayyid or chieftain of Makkah whom had towards be obeyed and followed.
His daughter, Ramlah, known as Umm Habibah, however dared towards exam his specialist when she denied the deities of the Quraysh and their idolatrous ways. Together with her husband, Ubaydullah ibn Jahsh, she put her religion within Allah independently and agreed the letter of His prophet, Muhammad ibn Abdullah.
Abu Sufyan endeavoured with everybody the power and drag at his disposal towards fetch back his daughter and her husband towards his religion and the religion of their forefathers. But he did not succeed. The religion which was embedded within the heart of Ramlah was too powerful towards b e uprooted via the hurricanes of Abu Sufyans fury.
Abu Sufyan remained deeply unsettled and feared via his daughter's receipt of Islam. He did not know how towards face the Quraysh as soon as she had gone against his shall and he was clearly powerless towards deter her from consecutive Muhammad. When the Quraysh reali zed although that Abu Sufyan himself was enraged via Ramlah and her husband, they were emboldened towards treat them harshly. They unleashed the full fury of their persecution against them towards such a degree that life within Makkah became unbearable. In the fifth year of his mission, the Prophet, silence be onto him, provided permission towards the Muslims towards migrate towards Abyssinia. Ramlah, her little daughter Habibah, and her husband were among those whom left.
Abu Sufyan and the Quraysh leaders located it difficult towards agree that a category of Muslims had slipped out of their net of persecution and was enjoying the freedom towards hold their attitudes and tradition their religion within the land of the Negus. They consequently sen d messengers towards the Negus towards seek their extradition. The messengers endeavoured towards poison the mind of the Negus against the Muslims but as soon as analysing the Muslims attitudes and listening towards the Quran being recited, the Negus concluded: "What has been revealed towards your Prophet Muhammad and what Jesus the son of Mary preached arrived from the equivalent source."
The Negus himself informed his religion within the one true God and his receipt of the prophethood of Muhammad, silence be onto him. He also informed his decision towards protect the Muslim muhajirin. The long ride onto the route of hardship and tribulation had finally ruled towards the oasis of serenity. So Umm Habibah felt. But she did not know that the new-found freedom and feel of silence were afterwards towards be shattered. She was towards be put across a experiment of the most harsh and harrowing kind.
One night, it is related, as Umm Habibah was unconscious she had a dream within which she observed her husband amid a fathomless ocean coated via wave upon wave of darkness. He was within a most perilous situation. She awoke, frightened. But she did not wish towards tell her husband or anyone else what she had seen.
The day as soon as that ominous night was not yet across when Ubaydallah ibn Jahsh informed his rejection of Islam and his receipt of Christianity. What a horrible blow! Ramlah's feel of silence was shattered. She did not hope this of her husband whom pre sented her forthwith with the choice of a divorce or of agreeing Christianity. Umm Habibah had three choices ahead of her. She could either remain with her husband and agree his dub towards become a Christian within which instance she also would devote apostasy and - God forbid - deserve ignominy within this earth and sentence within the hereafter. This was something she decided she would never do even whether she were subjected towards the most dreadful torture. Or, she could replace towards her father's house within Makkah - but she knew h e remained a citadel of shirk and she would be constrained towards live below him, overcame and suppressing her faith. Or, she could stay independently within the land of the Negus as a displaced fugitive - without nation, without relations and without a supporter. She made the choice that she conceived was the most amusing towards God. She made up her mind towards stay within Abyssinia until such moment as God gave her relief. She divorced her husband whom lived alone a short whilst as soon as becoming a Christian. He had granted himse lf again towards frequenting wine merchants and burning alcohol, the "mother of evils". This undoubtedly assisted towards spoil him.
Umm Habibah waited within Abyssinia for approximately ten years. Towards the end of this moment, relief and happiness came. It arrived from an abrupt quarter.

One morning silver and morning, there was a loud knocking onto her door. It was Abrahah, the special maidservant of the Negus. Abrahah was cheering with joy as she welcomed Umm Habibah and said: "The Negus posts his greetings and says towards you that Muhammad, the Messenger of God, needs you towards marry him and that he has posted a letter within which he has appointed him as his wakil towards contract the marriage between you and him. If you concede, you are towards appoint a wakil towards affect your behalf."
Umm Habibah was within the clouds with happiness. She exclaimed towards herself: "God has granted you glad tidings. God has granted you glad tidings." She took off her jewelry- her necklace and bracelets - and provided them towards Abrahah. She took off her rings too and provided th em towards her. And indeed whether she had possessed everybody the treasures of the earth, she would possess granted them towards Abrahah at that moment of sheer joy. Finally she remarked towards Abrahah: "I appoint Khalid ibn Said ibn al-Aas towards act as wakil onto my behalf for he is the clos est fellow towards me."
In the palace of the Negus, predetermined amid pretty gardens and luxuriant plant and within one of the generously emblazoned, sumptuously supplied and brightly lit halls, the category of Muslims living within Abyssinia gathered. They covered Jafar ibn Abi T alib, Khalid ibn Said, Abdullah ibn Hudhafah as- Sahmi and others. They had gathered towards witness the culmination of the marriage contract between Umm Habibah, the daughter of Abu Sufyan, and Muhammad, the Messenger of God. When the marriage was finalized, th e Negus addressed the gathering: "I praise God, the Holy, and I say that there is none god but Allah and that Muhammad is His Servant and His Messenger and that He provided the nice tidings towards Jesus the son of Mary.
"The Messenger of God, silence be onto him, has asked me towards conclude the marriage contract between him and Umm Habibah the daughter of Abu Sufyan. I accepted do what he asked and onto his behalf I grant her a mahr or dowry of four hundred gold dinars." He handed again the allowance towards Khalid ibn Said whom reared and said: "All praise is due towards God. I praise Him and seek His assistance and mercies and I curve towards Him within repentance. I say that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger whom He has posted with t he religion of guidance and truth so that it powers prevail again everybody else forms of religion even whether the disbelievers were towards dislike this.
"I possess accepted do what the Prophet, silence be upon him, has asked and played as the wakil onto behalf of Umm Habibah, the daughter of Abu Sufyan. May God bless His Messenger and his wife. "Congratulations towards Umm Habibah onto fund of the goodness which God has ordained for her." Khalid took the mahr and handed it again towards Umm Habibah. The Sahabah thereupon got up and rehearsed towards flee but the Negus remarked towards them: "Sit down for it is the tradition of the Prophets towards serve food at marriages."
There was general rejoicing at the court of the Negus as the guests sat down again towards devour and applaud the happier occasion. Umm Habibah specially could barely suspect her nice fortune and she afterwards explained how she was eager towards share her happiness. She said: "When I obtained the finance as mahr, I posted fifty mithqals of gold towards Abrahah whom had carried me the nice news and I remarked towards her: 'I provided you what I did when you provided me the nice news because at that moment I did not possess any money.'
"Shortly later, Abrahah arrived towards me and replaced the gold. She also caused a instance which consisted the necklace I had granted towards her. She replaced that towards me and said: 'The King has instructed me not towards rob anything from you and he his led the ladies within his home towards show you with gifts of perfume.'
"On the consecutive day, she carried me ambergris, safron and aloes and said: 'I possess a favor towards ask of you.' 'What is it?' I asked. 'I possess agreed Islam ,' she remarked, 'and already pursue the religion of Muhammad. Convey towards him my greeting of silence and lent h im know that I suspect within Allah and His Prophet. Please don't forget.' She otherwise assisted me towards get ready for my ride towards the Prophet.
"When I met the Prophet, silence be onto him, I told him everybody approximately the arrangements that were made for the marriage and approximately my correlation with Abrahah. I told him she had become a Muslim and communicated towards him her greetings of peace. He was filled with joy a t the news and said: 'Wa alayha as-salam wa rahmatullahi was barakatuhu and onto her be silence and the mercy and blessings of God. "
